Jacob Robinson is an eccentric and dedicated professional musician from the small beach town of Fort Myers, Florida. Growing up listening to everything from 80's and 90's Thrash Metal and Hip Hop to "spiritual-era" Coltrane, music was something that was very firmly rooted in his heart. Beginning his drumming journey around the age of 10, he was constantly looking for new ways to express himself. Through his teenage years, he performed with multiple youth symphonies, taught lessons to younger aspiring musicians, and gigged around town with dozens of artists. Upon being accepted to Berklee College of Music in 2018, he moved to Boston, Massachusetts, and furthered his studies with renowned drummers such as Kenwood Dennard, Dave DiCenso, and James Murphy. Specializing stylistically in Jazz Fusion, R&B/Hip Hop, Funk, Neo-Soul, and Rock, there was always something new that was to be explored by him. Recording extensively in the Berklee studios, gigging around the Boston scene, spending hours each day in the practice rooms, and hosting late-night drum sheds, Jake was always finding some way to be involved with the community. Graduating in 2022 with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance from Berklee, he set his eyes on the city of music... Nashville, Tennessee. As of August 2022, Jake has been residing in Nashville where he is eager to collaborate with like-minded musicians and put his in-home studio to work. Working with tons of local musicians and artists since his arrival, Jake has built a reputation of being one of the most unique and versatile drummers in the scene.
